Sweden, Stockholm City

Electrifying the future of heavy transport.

ABOUT
TRATON CHARGING SOLUTIONS

TRATON Charging Solutions (TCS) is a relatively new company within the TRATON Group, the commercial vehicle group of Volkswagen Group, with brands such as Scania, MAN, International, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus. TCS was created to address the key challenge of providing software products that support a seamless charging experience for electrified heavy transport.

TCS serves as the Group’s central eMobility service provider for electric trucks and commercial vehicles across Europe. It connects charge point operators (CPOs) with customer interfaces across TRATON brands, enabling seamless access to public charging and creating synergies across a fragmented ecosystem. The company does not operate charging stations itself, but instead builds the digital and operational layer that enables fleet operators to find, access, use, pay for, and manage charging across multiple networks and countries.

ABOUT THE ROLE

TCS is looking for a Lead Developer to join the Stockholm-based engineering team. This is a technical developer role, approximately 75% hands-on development and 25% team coordination and leadership. You will report directly to the eMSP Technical Lead.

As one of the engineers in a small, cross-functional team, you will have genuine influence over technical decisions, architecture, tooling, and how they work day-to-day.

Backend development & cloud infrastructure

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using modern .NET / C#

  • Develop and operate containerised services on AWS (primarily ECS/Fargate)

  • Build and manage infrastructure as code using Pulumi

  • Develop integrations between internal services and external platforms

  • Contribute to solution design, architecture decisions, and technical planning

  • Improve and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and automated testing

  • Enhance monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting using our LGTM observability stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Minimum 4 years of backend development experience, with 2+ years in a lead or senior capacity

  • Solid experience with modern .NET / C# (recent versions)

  • Hands-on experience building and operating containerised services in AWS

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Pulumi, Terraform, or similar tools

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery workflows (e.g. GitLab CI)

  • Experience designing and building integrations with third-party systems and APIs

  • Strong communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience with observability tooling, LGTM stack: Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir

  • Experience with OpenTelemetry

  • Background in e-mobility, eMSP, payment systems, or EV charging domain

PERSONAL QUALITIES

TCS is a small, entrepreneurial team and value people who take ownership, communicate openly, and care about the product they are building. Specifically, we are looking for someone who is:

  • A clear communicator. You can explain complex technical concepts and business tradeoffs in plain language to engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders alike.

  • Trustworthy and relationship driven. You build bridges between engineering, product, and external partners.

  • Structured and self-driven. You are comfortable owning both technical and coordination responsibilities without constant direction. You set your own priorities and follow through.

  • Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset. You thrive in a small-team setup where your ideas and contributions shape the direction of the product and the team.

TRATON Charging Solutions offers:

  • A lead developer role with real ownership and influence.

  • A small, collaborative team where your voice is heard and your work is visible.

  • The stability of a Scania Group with the pace and mindset of a smaller company.

  • Modern tech stack: .NET, AWS, Pulumi, GitLab CI, LGTM observability

  • An office in central Stockholm (Kungsgatan 60) with some hybrid flexibility (50/50)
